For the 2025 Open Novella Contest
Prompt: In a world where artificial beings and humans coexist, one artificial human embarks on a journey to understand love and emotions and finds more than they expected.
In 1977, the U.S. government began work on a top-secret project to replace its mechanized warfighters. Using the revolutionary "universal core system," they developed a new battery that forever changed the future of war. But with the Russians closing in on this proprietary technology, it's up to the neo-mechs to protect their hardwiring and ensure America prevails without bloodshed.
This story is a prequel to an unfinished work I wrote 10 years ago called Template. The original followed four roommates who embodied various anime tropes and worked together to resolve their disparate plotlines. I cannot locate the original online, as I think whatever site was hosting it is down - so look out for a potential rewrite of the original in the future!

He may not be aware of it yet, but Carrie Lancefull, a senior student on the verge of graduating from Edison High School, has been chosen for a remarkable journey. At a young age, he witnessed a battle between his idol, Lady Lynn, now known as Cassidy, and Prince Flynn, now Lord, following the king's passing five years ago. Recognizing Carrie's potential, Prince Flynn intervened in his match against the formidable Amazon of steel. After defeating her, Prince Flynn spotted a young Carrie in the stands and requested a meeting. He marked Carrie with the royal symbol on his wrist, signifying his eligibility to join the Royal Tournament upon turning 18. However, Carrie's aspirations have since been dampened by his blindness, and the discouraging words of others have led him to consider abandoning his dreams. During gym class, he is accompanied by his friend Kayla and best friend Lucio, and later meets Aislinn and Airian, twin sisters who become his supporters. Despite being a weak level one, while his peers are at levels 10 and 15, the twins commence training him to improve his abilities. However, this progress comes at a price. Throughout the story, character development and multiple storylines will unfold, providing insight into Carrie's friendships and the world of Futurämous. As the narrative unfolds, the question arises: can Carrie overcome the challenges and rise to the top, particularly when faced with the daunting task of competing against one of his closest friends for the same coveted spot? This epic tale is filled with action, betrayal, tragedy, heartbreak, and hardship. Will Carrie emerge victorious, and what will be the cost of his success? If she succeeds, she will see the sister she's lost again; if she fails, she will die, and her sister will be left to suffer In order to succeed, she must first infiltrate the school where Britannia turns the children of its most powerful families into its greatest commanders. The Hawaiian Special Forces
This is the story I'm writing for NaNoWriMo 2015. The goal: 50,000 word RAW draft written entirely in the month of November. Unlike most of my stories, which I prefer to edit before posting, I'm actually going to post updates to this at the end of each day in chapter-sized chunks. The idea behind this story is that a terrorist attack in the near future causes the US to go hyper-isolationist, to the point that it abandons Hawaii and Alaska to fend for themselves. They do, forming the United Pacific States (maybe with a few other island countries). Hawaii then goes on to turn itself into the new world police with stealthy, genetically modified cyber-soldiers. I'm marking this story as mature because there will be action scenes, and probably some interesting perspectives on nudity and relationships. I'm not planning on anything explicit, but this won't be a kids book. Validated winner at 50,040 words!Complete

Long ago, three tribes coexisted in harmony: Humans, the original inhabitants of Earth; Cantari, a powerful race descended from the first Pureblood Cantari and the wielder of song Magic; and Scepters, enigmatic beings resembling the souls of the dead. This peace was shattered when human scientists betrayed the trust of the Cantari by creating Artificial Maidens, synthetic beings designed to surpass the original Cantari. This revelation caused a conflict between humans and Cantari, leading to the birth of three distinct colonies: one consisting of both humans and Cantari trying to coexist, another made up only of humans and Artificial Maidens, and a secluded human colony that chose to remain hidden from the war. The bloodlust of the war slowly withered the holy tree, which had once held each territory connected. Eventually, the tree began to decay completely, causing the earth to become unstable. Both the Cantari and humanity realized their grave mistake, but it was too late to revive the tree. The humans who had joined the war were transformed into homunculi-mindless beings driven only by destruction. The Cantari sacrificed themselves, dividing the world into four parts and isolating the last survivors of humanity and younger Cantari from the homunculi. -------- Exclaimer : This story is actually a crossover story. I don't own the music/song I used and characters in other series/game except my original characters. This fanfic even though mostly,has the same element as a game named Ar-Tanelico,it doesn't have relationships with its canon characters. Enjoy Also.. There's gore a bit there and there. The Story follows a once human girl named Aira with almost no recollection of the memories of her old life. All she remembers is waking up in a dark space with a deep voice asking her for a wish before she reincarnated into her next life in a different world, a world of Sword and Magic called Krupia with many different races as its residents. "All my life i hated humans. They disgust me. They are the reason for our planets extinction with their stupid wars and foolish actions. Aiming to create a world of wealth and happiness by destroying it in the process... the irony. I can't stand being one of them any longer so i'll become their greatest nightmare and I know just the way to bring them the despair and horror they deserve. I'm no longer Aira. From now on I shall be called Zyra and you have the honor to adress me as your Queen." Follow Zyra in her new life as the Queen of her very own swarm.
