Veronica never expected her life to take a turn toward the unknown. A college student with a troubled past, she steps into the uncharted world of time travel at the request of Professor Davis. Tasked with visiting the 1950s on a mission, she finds herself lost and injured in an unfamiliar time far from her intended destination. A chance encounter with the rugged and mysterious rancher named Archer throws her into a whirlwind of confusion, danger, and unexpected emotions. As she struggles to adapt to the harsh realities of the past, Archer's kindness and undeniable curiosity about her force Veronica to confront her past, her fears, and her future in ways she never could have anticipated. Will she survive the wild frontier, or will the past trap her in a world she's desperate to leave? A gripping tale of time travel, survival, and the bonds that form in the most unlikely of circumstances. Please note: This story will explore some mature themes, including the non-sexual corporal punishment of both adults and possibly minors. These themes are fictional, and I do not condone or promote such behaviors in real life.

11-year-old Calliope has been in countless foster homes and knows how to push people away and protect herself. She's angry, defensive, and always ready to fight. But the McCalls are different-they're strict but gentle, and they don't tolerate her cruelty or self-harm. In their country home in Montana, structure is everything. But when she lashes out, the foster fathers warning isn't empty: "You break the rules, you face the consequences." Calliope has to learn that being held accountable isn't the same as being punished by someone who wants to hurt her. *Will have corporal punishment as well as mouth soaping etc* *Will have chapters and parts describing her abusive past, trigger warnings will be noted*
