Pietro Maximoff, recently dubbed 'Quicksilver' by the Avengers he's become a part of as of late,  almost died in Sokovia. Twice. The second time everyone seems to know about -- saving Hawkeye and the kid and getting shot three times in the process, one of the hits near-fatal, but the first is something even his twin doesn't know about. A girl, no one 'special' in the sense of the rest of his acquaintances, who'd been visiting the area from New York and was unlucky enough to see and survive the end of the world twice, saved his sorry skin and vice-versa. And now, with the Avengers facility just outside of her home town, the chance that they'll bump into each other again grows every time they step out of their homes.All Rights Reserved

Tony's hands go wild, trying to keep his new found, new lost, friend alive for one more second so that Wanda can work her magic. "Pietro!" Wanda yells, forcing will for him to live even harder to him. "Pietro, live!" Just as he vibrates at the highest frequency, his body escapes into a bright light, disappearing from their world. Wanda is in shock. His mind is ripped apart from hers like glue. She grabs her head in her hands, trying to contain a scream. "Tony, what the hell happened?" Tony gazes at the empty spot where Pietro was. His eyes are empty; shock makes him stumble. "I-I don't know." · ~ · ~ · ~ · ~ · In an attempt to bring Pietro Maximoff back to life, Tony Stark and Helen Cho create a machine that vibrates Quicksilver's naturally vibrating molecules at a level that raises his brain activity. Wanda Maximoff uses her magical powers to get inside his head to coax him back to the world of the living.
