"It's always been you," he said roughly. His thumb brushed her cheekbone, gentle. "But, Blair..." His voice cracked a little, and he forced himself to keep going. "Once we cross this line, I can't go back. We can't act like it didn't happen. I can't lose you."
He swallowed, locking eyes with her. He needed her to hear him - really hear him.
"You have to stop me if you don't want me."
Blair blinked up at him, stunned for half a second by how serious and raw he sounded. How much he meant it.
Then she let out a tiny, breathless laugh and grabbed the front of his shirt, fisting the fabric.
"Shut up and kiss me, Jay," she said.
