In a world that has been overrun by a virus that is eerily similar to rabies, humanity finds itself on the brink of extinction. The virus, which spreads rapidly through saliva and blood, turns people into frenzied, aggressive monsters with an insatiable hunger for human flesh. Among the few survivors are 16-year-old Casey and her 7-year-old brother Aiden, who have been left to fend for themselves after their community was decimated by the virus.
