She was a curious soul, a girl who sought adventure and lived for the thrill of the unknown. But she had never imagined that her journey would lead her into something far beyond her expectations. It was during one of these explorations that she crossed paths with him. A boy, also lost in the woods, searching for something only the wilderness could offer. They exchanged brief glances, a silent acknowledgment, before continuing on their separate paths. The world seemed endless, but fate had other plans. Their paths collided in the most unthinkable way-an accident. The sounds of the forest, once calming, became the backdrop for their pain. The crash had been violent, the kind that left its marks deep on both the body and soul. The anguish they both experienced in the wake of that moment left them scarred-emotionally and physically. In the aftermath, the girl tried to piece her life back together, but the trauma clung to her like a shadow. She tried to move forward, but the memories of that accident haunted her. The boy, too, carried the weight of the past, the pain still raw, gnawing at him in every waking moment. And then, as if destiny had a cruel sense of humor, they met again-years later, the old wounds stirred, the memories of that dark day rushing back. Would they choose to pretend it never happened? Would they walk away, carrying their separate pain, choosing to forget the connection they once shared? But something in the air was different this time. The weight of their shared history seemed to create a spark, an undeniable pull. Could the past, with all its tragedy, turn into something more? Could they find the strength to face their fears and, perhaps, build something new from the ashes of their former selves? The choice was theirs to make: to ignore the connection that had once brought them together or to dive into the unknown once more, hoping that this time, their paths would cross for a different reason-to heal, to grow, and perhaps, to love.

Book #4 in the Bonds of Fate series. "You left me. For 2 years." Killian's voice shook with the force of his emotion. "You chose to leave me." "Leaving was the best thing I ever did. I won't apologise for it." "Now you expect me to give you another chance?" His voice was angry, but he knew in his heart that had already forgiven her. How could he pretend that he wasn't in purgatory the entire time that she was gone? Or that seeing her again, was the first time the world seemed right again? How could he pretend that he didn't love her when all he wanted was to take her in his arms and kiss her senseless? "Just give me a chance to explain, please Killian." Rachel pleaded; it was strange he had never seen her bend so easily to anyone. She was a wildfire that couldn't be tamed, so then why did she look like her flames had been quietened? "Give me one good reason that I should." "Our daughter." *** Rachel is trouble. After her father's death, trouble and misfortune seems to follow her like a dark cloud. The only thing keeping her from falling apart completely is music. Killian is traditional. Though suffocated by his parents, the commendable way they handled their roles as the previous Alpha and Luna has Killian always looking up to them. He wants to fill their shoes, only he feels as though he is crumbling under their pressure. When Killian finds the wild, free-spirited, hurricane in his Soulmate Rachel, he falls deeply for her. His parents on the other hand, do not. When his parents decide that Rachel is not the mate that they want for their son, they threaten to drive the couple apart. These two must challenge tradition, and family if they want their love to survive. But, sometimes you have to lose before you can love. "The greatest music comes from within..."
