Summer On The Edge

Summer in our town means something. It's dirt roads and sunburnt skin, late-night swims and wild ideas, river water and the kind of memories you don't realize are important until they're over. It's the kind of summer where everything changes-whether we're ready for it or not.

For me, Cash, Arizona, Sloane, and Hudson, this summer is ours. No rules, no regrets, no backing out. That's the pact.

But the thing about summer? It never goes how you think it will.

One minute, we're jumping off cliffs and swinging into the river like we'll never hit the ground. The next, we're in too deep, tangled up in things we never saw coming.

By the time it's over, we won't be the same people we were when it started.

Some things, once they happen, can't be undone.

And some summers change everything.
