Freya and Yara Mikaelson were the firstborn children of Mikael and Esther, believed to have died of the plague when they were five years old. The twins, using their magic, saved Rebekah, and broke the spell on the asylum-freeing not only Rebekah but themselves, opening the door to escape from Dahlia with the help of their siblings. The new world is scary, and Yara and Freya have only each other for support as they discover the things they had been trapped from seeing.
