What if... Teresa never went with Thomas when she died, but instead, got the serum and went to try to save Newt without anyone knowing. Everyone would be gone to the Safe Heaven thinking Newt and Teresa are dead. But 1 month later, Newt woke up, healthy again and cured. Her parents start realizing the infection is getting worse and closer to home. Her home is spied on? Her parents suspect danger is near while Y/n is home so they decide she should find uncle Jorge for more safety. On her way she crosses paths with the Gladers who have just escaped WCKD on the lookout for the right army. A tall British blond boy finds an interest in her and plans on sticking by helping her heal. Will the Gladers be her ticket to finally living a free life? Will she find her brother alive?
