I left to find myself, but instead, I met a stranger-someone new and unknown.
Or maybe I'm just holding on to the memory of someone from my past.
I wrote this poem to share what it feels like to be caught between moving on and still missing what was. It's about feeling saudade-this deep, quiet longing-and trying to open up to someone new, even when it feels hard.
Am I ready to let go? Or am I just trying to fill a space left behind?
Dating this stranger is my way of figuring it out.
This poem is my way of being honest about the confusion, the hope, and the fear that come with loving and losing.

"No! Stop!" I could see her fading silhouette. She keeps on walking away just like the way I dreamt of her every night. 'No! Please don't walk away. I need to see your face. I need to know your name. Healing is such a long process to do. You will start to ask why things didn't turn out the way you wanted. You will start to ask when did the things start to go wrong. You will start to ask what will you do to get up and how will you complete yourself again. There are so many questions in life that you will start to seek for answers whenever you are on this process. I, honestly, don't know what happened to my life. I am rich. I have everything that I need in my life. But, why did I end up this way? Why did I end up being the most pathetic and broken person that I've ever known? All I want is just a pure love- a true love. Words I never Tell
At some point in my life, I choose to let go of her. And not because I stopped loving her, but because I had reached the point that I was drained and can no longer continue fighting for her when all she gives me in return is pain. It's not about asking to get my feelings reciprocated, I just realized that I deserve the same amount of love that I am giving.
