"What do you want?" I whispered.

He stepped closer, and I instinctively backed away until something hard hit the back of my head-the wall. He pinned me against it.

"You," he said, his voice firm, laced with hunger. "Fuck, I want you."

He leaned in, our faces mere inches apart, our breaths mingling.

"How do you want me?" I asked, my voice barely audible.

His gaze darkened. "I want to fill you. I want to devour you. I want you in my fucking life. I crave you."

His words stole the air from my lungs. His lips hovered just an inch away from mine, his eyes searching mine, desperate-waiting for an answer.

The man in front of me wasn't the same one I had first met. Back then, he barely spoke to me. But now, he was starving for me, for my response.

I wasn't sure if I wanted him or not. He was perfect-for everyone.

Silence stretched between us. Our eyes locked, our breaths intertwined, our lips separated by a single inch. I had known from the start that I wanted him, but I couldn't confess it-not to him. Not to my enemy.

His jaw clenched at my silence.

Seconds passed. We didn't move.

Minutes passed. Still, we remained frozen, just staring at each other.
