Ariadne Zahardt is a headstrong, curious, independent, academically driven 12-year-old who finds out that she's half-god. She gets whisked away to a camp for people like her, which can't be that bad, right? Wrong. That's when her perfect world starts falling apart.

Learning that all the greek myths, gods, and monsters are real was already bad enough. But she just had to be forbidden, breaking an oath between the gods. Oh but wait, she's not the only one. The coming of another kid takes some load off her, but she still has her own problems. Event after event leads her to flee camp and start her own little mission. Ariadne wanted to help stop the oncoming war, prove herself to her father, and live up to people's expectations, just like she always had.

But things don't always go as planned... Ariadne finds herself in situations that almost cost her life and sanity. Armed with just her sword, few survival skills, ADHD, and a quick mind, she refuses to fail.
