Let me start out by saying that I never asked to be a demigod. I mean, who would want to be a descendent of Greek gods? It might seem cool at first but the euphoria usually wears off by the first time someone or something tries to kill you. I can honestly tell you from personal experience that having someone try to kill you is SOOOOOOO not cool. If you are reading this and feel nothing weird or tingly inside, be my guest and keep reading. If you do happen to feel something, stop reading IMMEDIATELY. Tell your mom or dad that you need to go to camp and they will take you to safety. But if you happen to be normal- so lucky!- you should totally read my account of some major problems in my life.

It was my first back to New York after six months. I was looking forward to this. To going back to camp. Seeing my friends, and having fun for another summer. And for those of you who haven't figured it out yet, I was abused a child. And this caused some pretty shitty depression at a young age. It didn't help that I didn't have any friends. Zac tried to convince himself that the gift adds up to his 'ladies charm' but ended up killing the idea when he met Rachel. Leo thought of giving up. After the great fight with Gaea, he was still the seventh wheel. He was starting to think that Piper's mom (Aphrodite) cursed him. No one dared to date the 'hot' guy who saved the world. But the arrival of Steph was the final straw. Steph destroyed their relationship even before it started. But he couldn't shake the feelings out. But then again maybe it's Aphrodite messing with his feelings. A new Hero in Gotham
Being a demigod was hard enough, living in a city with constant crime and the threat of being mugged all the time? I've faced worse, probably. It's not like the bat family seems to be stalking me or that there's another prophecy floating around camp which seems to be making everyone anxious and worried. At least I'm protected, mostly, from the threat of monsters trying to eat me, amd don't even get me started on the Joker. He really thinks he's the funniest guy out there, like please, I could probably beat him as fast as Batman could. ~~~~~ Cursing, gore, blood, wounds, etc etc. Y'all don't question nothing, I give you full permission to hit me over the head if I screw up my spelling. The Redemption of Maximus
The world is screwed up place. Everyone in it just wants peace when it isn't promised to nobody. We work for ourselves to try to improve our ways of life only for someone who has more to take it. Everything is about monetary gain and if you don't got the green you better have a way to survive. Help wont come when you need it. There is no home and having shame is a simple thing of the past. We all tell people to have hope. We tell them that if they work hard enough that change will eventually come and with that change they will find their happy ending. I've watched humans kill for that happy ending. I've committed murder when a tyrant thought to torture the only good thing in this world I have ever found in this fucked up place. Even when I tried to save it, I still lost it. Yeah, you heard right. I am no saint. This world is far from cupcake and t ,rainbows and their isn't not one soul that could tell me different. I have had to fight to survive since the day I lii I broke out of an egg into this world. No one has ever known where I came from and from the moment I got here I've never know any kindness. I have always been the odd one out because I was different. I'm not talking different just because the color of my skin. I'm talking different because when I get well and truly pissed I turn into a vicious monster. I'm not talking a kiddie monster like the one that creeps under your bed while you are sleeping or chooses to hide in your closet. I'm the type that you cant get away from. I travel through space and time. If I want you, I will have you. I have the powers of invisibility on my side, and you will never see me coming. There is no one that can catch me because I can poof away at the drop of a hat. If that doesn't scare you than the thousands of scars on my body and my size definitely will. Safe
I always thought I was safe, you know? I mean, it wasn't really something I thought about before. It's not like I had a reason to worry about being particularly unsafe. I've always been perfectly normal anyways. Nothing exciting or dangerous happened to me. I was a plain Jane in every sense of the phrase, and nothing strange or particularly astonishing ever happens to people like me. My entire philosophy, however, was completely and drastically changed after being attacked and raped one night. I probably would have been killed if it weren't for Drake Collins, the closed off "tough guy" of my school. He came to my rescue, and reluctantly swore not to breathe a word to anyone. Unfortunately, my attacker escaped. It was after that, that I closed myself off from the few people that I did talk to before. My safety, my very sense of security, was violated. My world was swept out from under my feet. Drake stayed by my side the entire time, helping me through my struggles. He became the only one I could talk to or confide in, and was soon the only reason I woke up each morning. He kept me safe.Complete
