In 1954, as Japan recovers from the devastation of World War II, a dark secret festers within the halls of Toho Studios. Eriko Tanaka, a journalist, is drawn into a mystery surrounding her brother, Shindo, a movie photographer working on the set of Gojira. Along with his colleague Takashi, Shindo stumbles upon something horrifying-an unknown man, forever fused with the monstrous suit, lurking within the shadows of the production.
This entity, born from tragedy, is more than just a man. A forgotten soul with a vendetta against those who betrayed their own country and the Americans who brought destruction upon his people, he has become something unstoppable. With every new Godzilla film, his rage only grows, his presence bleeding into reels of footage, distorting reality itself.
Decades later, as Toho continues to expand its legacy, Eriko uncovers cryptic film canisters, old testimonies, and chilling accounts from cast and crew-many of whom vanished without a trace. As she pieces together the horrifying puzzle, the deeper truth emerges: the man in the suit never died. He only waited.
And now, in the modern age, he is ready to walk once more.
