"Magic was dull before you came here." She looked over at the man, before returning her gaze to the purple sunset they were watching from the academy's rooftop.
"Really?" she sounded surprised, "How so?"
He shrugged, his eyes, pools like the endless void, focussed on the painted horizon, "It just was." He looked over at her, and she looked back. The corner of her lips twitched up a bit, a give-away that he made her happy.
