The Three Kingdoms

The once great land of Varethis had been divided since the treaty of Vorthal. Three great kingdoms each ruled by a powerful family emerged, each with their own strengths and secrets.

Howlwind, fortunate to have taken refugee on the other side of the mountains, their kingdom was as large as their vast libraries. Their people had preserved all documents that pre dated the war as they believe you can always learn from the past. The great King Bryndor and Queen Amara hoped that one day their son Hestian would bring peace back to Varethis, with the help of his siblings Perrin and Bellatix of course. Hestian's secret however, known only to the great knight Norrick, threatened the very thing their kingdom stands for.

Emberclaw, the magic wielders retreated into isolation after the war, hesitant to trust the kingdoms that disintegrated their once great numbers. The careful Queen Caelina, trusted no one but her three children; twins Aithne and Raiden and her youngest Theon. However, more and more children were being born powerless, including Prince Theon. If this persisted, magic would become a thing of the past in Varethis.

Shadowfang, Varethis greatest warriors lived a very disciplined life. King Balthor left no room for error in his kingdom. Of the citizens trained in sword fighting before they even learned how to read. He had high hopes for his heir Seraphim, which left Nimbus and Lysander always competing to be noticed. Seraphim, however, hated the attention. So much that he sometimes fantasized running away. But where could he run to that his father could not track him.
