Upon writing this short story, I intended to express a solid point. I wanted to take a statement that was all too true and jab it into someone in a way so violently that it stuck. Well, I believe I have done so accordingly... If one does not accept a matter, he or she will not completely overcome it. It will summarily linger until finally breaking through the surface of containment. The real "acceptance" of Jack Rose is not his acceptance of his sister's death, but his being accepted into a realization of the loss of his innocence.All Rights Reserved
