Lucia has spent four months in the Glade, long enough to carve out her own place among the boys. As the only girl, she's earned their respect, becoming a trusted Med-Jack and a friend to nearly everyone-well, almost everyone. Gally never liked her, and the night before everything changes, a heated argument between them ends with a blow to the head.
She wakes up to shouting. A new Greenie has arrived.
Thomas.
Thomas arrives in the Glade with no memories, only an eerie sense that something isn't right. As Alby shows him around, a girl named Lucia greets him with a smile-warm, familiar, yet impossible to place. He knows he's seen it before.
Three days later, they escape the Maze.
But freedom comes at a cost.
