Janie Sales has a problem but she doesn't know that. She just think she's a judgy person. Every person she sees she judges them, either out loud or if she's lucky, to herself. She knows it's a problem but she doesn't know what to do about it. Telling her parents is definitly completely out of the question. The rich overally nice Sales' have a problem when it comes to smuthering, and Janie being an only child doesn't help. But those overally smothering parents are quite good at detective work and they soon find out the reason behind these terrible sentences blurting from Janie.
