They thought they'd escaped.

They were wrong.

The desert stretches endlessly before them, scorching by day, freezing by night, and full of dangers they can't see coming. Isla is barely holding on, her body fighting against whatever WICKED pumped into her veins. Minho refuses to leave her side, even as the others struggle to keep moving. Food is running low. Water is almost gone. And the mountains that promise salvation still feel impossibly far away.

But WICKED isn't done with them yet.

Hunted by Cranks, haunted by nightmares, and desperate to survive, the group has no choice but to keep pushing forward-because stopping means death. Or worse.

And in the end, escape might not be an option at all.
