Everyone knows that the sweet summer nights are filled with fun and adventure, but what if there was something more?
For Khia, and her people of the Isles, those summer sunsets had a way of bringing out the most sinful cravings, a lust that could not be controlled, and her people embraced each night with a longing like no other.
And now, Khia was coming of age. She had prepared herself, as many of the other young women had, she had listened to the stories and she had witnessed the lust filled ceremonies first hand; she had been waiting for those long summer nights, where she could finally lay claim on her 'soon- to-be' mate and experience the pleasures for herself. She was almost ready...
But when the southern villages are attacked and Khia is taken from her home and forced into slavery across the seas, she feels forgotten and fears those sweet summer nights will be no more than a torturous whirlwind of heartache and chaos. She finds herself alone, confused, and very afraid and she knows that there are sacrifices to be made, if she was to survive. But can she?
