Kaveri decides that she doesn't have a place in Vijay's life after a whole hopeless night of waiting and then seeing him come out of Vennila's hospital room. She leaves everything behind, making the choice he wanted or she thought.
Vijay, heartbroken and left without closure for the second time in his life, has given up hope. Adrift and lost, he is a ship without anchor.
But then life has a way of surprising you when you least expect it.
