The universe is a big place. Scientists spend lifetimes trying to work out whats in it, actually how big it is and where it all started and we still don't know.

Considering some people can get lost looking for shoes in a shopping centre, contemplating looking for life in the universe should be considered too much of a big job and shelve it.
Looking for life closer to home is a different story and overlooked by the boffins in this world. They all think "The truth is out there" When actually its probably right under your shoe.

Take a walk in the woods for example. There is always a black bush in the middle of the woods, at the darkest point you can see. It seems to draw you in and unnerve you. Often you seen dogs fleeing out of that bush like they have been poked with a sabre, with their tail between their legs whining in doggy language "mummy mummy"! What startled them? It's only a bush, or is it?

How many times have you heard someone say "There's fairies living at the bottom of my garden!"
Now before you try and smell the White Lightening cider on their breath or see if both of their eyes can look at you at the same time, ask yourself this. Have you ever passed that bush, have your ever glanced out the corner of your eye when your at the bottom of your garden? Questioning yourself, was there a shadow or movement there? Then dismissing it yourself and blaming it on gas from your Vindaloo the night before.

The next time you hear smelly Pete the local tramp mumbling about "Gnomes stole my shoes" while he slept in the woods the other night. Don't dismiss him as the smelly nutter too quickly. Gnomes and fairies DO live in the woods, deep inside that bush or at the bottom of the garden. They have their own world, right under our feet.

And yes Gnomes do nick tramps shoes!

But what she did not expect was to show up on the first day of school to all three of her friends now in relationships. Fighting for their attention, catching some new and confusing feelings for long-time frenemy James, and wading through the pressures of post-high-school plans all have Lara reeling. And to make matters worse, Lara's beautiful and untrustworthy cousin conveniently appears and wiggles her way right between her and James' budding relationship. Feeling like a third wheel in more ways than one, Lara must learn to accept that change is inevitable, love is complicated, and being the odd one out is sometimes where inner power is found.
