Laius is the son of a mercenary along with his younger brother, Lykos. However, their village was attacked by a group of masked warriors.
Favian, a leader of a mercenary band, discovered the two. Seeing everyone dead and their village in complete ruin, he decided to take them.
It's unfortunate and unavoidable; we are all forced to face the harsh truths that come from living in this world.
Yet, no matter how unbearable it is, you can't, no, you shouldn't avert your eyes away from that direction.
