Welcome back to Point Place, Wisconsin - where basement hangouts and teenage rebellion are still very much alive in the summer of 1995. Meet Leia Forman, a sharp-witted teenager who's about to discover that her parents' old stomping grounds are the perfect place for her own coming-of-age story. As the daughter of former basement dwellers Eric and Donna, Leia finds herself spending the summer with her grandparents: the ever-doting, cookie-baking tornado of energy that is Kitty, and the gruff-but-lovable Red, whose legendary threats about foot-in-posterior placement haven't softened with age.
While the world has traded bell-bottoms for flannel shirts and vinyl for CDs, some things in Point Place never change. A new crew of misfits and troublemakers has taken over that infamous basement, bringing their own brand of '90s chaos under the same roof where their parents once schemed and dreamed. As Leia discovers, teenage rebellion comes with a fresh new soundtrack - think Nirvana instead of Led Zeppelin - but the fundamental recipe of friendship, first love, and pushing parental boundaries remains deliciously the same.
And yes, Red's still watching. And no, he's still not amused.
