|WATTYS 2022 WINNER - HORROR| Shawn, a convicted criminal, never thought she'd see the sun again, let alone call another star system her home. When she's offered an out from her prison sentence, she embarks on a dangerous interstellar expedition along with 18 of Earth's most intelligent criminals. Their task is to set up a base on a supposedly habitable planet and prepare it for colonization. Although the planet has liquid water and a breathable atmosphere, it is believed to host only microbial life. The Rat King
My name is Nolan Moore and something special happened to me. Or at least that is what the psychiatrist calls it. I think it was disturbing, too horrific for words. What happened to me was something that keeps me up at night. Sometimes I lay in bed and stare at the ceiling for hours, even days. I get shivers down my spine even writing this down, but I have a feeling that I will be gone soon. So, if you read this, then you get a glimpse of my soul. I pray that before the end of my story I will get forgiveness for everything I have done. Just remember I did this because I thought it was the best thing at the time. Clearly, it wasn't. Time is a thin line floating between what was and what will be. It's flowing through space hoping to reach an end. Normally whenever someone makes a choice, time itself splits and although we don't feel a thing, it still happens, nonetheless. But now something happened that had never happened before. Two new lines that were created flowed alongside each other through the endless void, seeking their old one. They were never supposed to collide, but one strange afternoon everything went wrong. The three timelines hit each other dead on. Three people ended up on an island, three exactly the same people.Concluida
The Ability Era
Disclaimer: There is some violence(blood and gore), and some crude language. This story is currently under hiatus. Not sure when I will continue. The story revolves around this organization called the Intergalactic Brigade Force(IBF) which is kind of like a special police made up of people with abilities(powers). The ability persons(AP's) are ranked by letter, Squad A being the best, and Z the worst. The beginning of the story focuses on Squad Y and their mission to stop an arms dealer called Red Coyote. The focus shifts away from them and shows the perspective of a plethora of characters such as a robot cowboy, a crazy mind controller, some weird prison inmates, and later shifts to a school of AP children. I think some may find it boring and maybe complicated but I hope you enjoy if you choose to read.Concluida
Immediately Forgettable
Terry Laine has the world's worst superpower - no one can remember who he is the second they lose eye contact with him. He's learned to live with it with a sense of humor and a constant feeling of loneliness. After he foolishly finds a way to use that poor excuse for a power to rob his bank, he winds up finally getting noticed...by the CIA. They train him and then, naturally, forget him - leaving Terry on his own to stop a megalomaniac and save the world (and maybe even get his beautiful coconspirator to remember him).Concluida
Craig of the Dead
Hey, you! Yeah, you. Listen up, dude, because I don't have much time. Actually, I have a ton of time, I just don't feel like repeating myself. South Park is infested with zombies. Yeah, you heard me right. Shuffling around, undead, want to eat you zombies. I'm stuck as some kind of leader of a tiny crew of kids. I don't know what the hell I'm doing, but everyone else seems to think I do, so I guess we're going with that. In a few days the whole town went from being kinda nuts to completely chaotic. Why do people think I'm a good leader? Why'd all the adults leave? Where's literally half of my grade, they can't all be dead, can they? Why are we not allowed to leave South Park? Do they want us die? How long can we keep on living like this? Most importantly, why couldn't I have just gone with Tweek to the stupid bathroom? Now he's M.I.A. and it's my fault. Anyway, I hope maybe you can find some pleasure in reading this. I mean, I would probably get bored, but whatever floats your boat, dude. Gotta run. (A 1 hour read - short story - completed) Young chemist Sinclair, works deep inside the human extermination complex of the State government A government that was always fighting in a world war. The planet was radiating, and getting unbearable. The pollution, fueled by the occasional use of mile wide micro-atomic nuclear strikes, gave urgency of your own coming death, so much so, it drove many quite batty. For relief, Sinclair took all the free government medications, keeping himself high but responsible at his government chemistry work. En-route now to Lightlake air base. He intended to derail his life once and for all. But first he'd do his part, he would render the master chemtrail formula into a harmless state. That should last at least a year, if not longer, if it went undetected. It was the noble thing to do he thought, considering the enormous ever-growing state body count. We join Sinclair now on the military passenger jet as he finds himself once again witnessing a murder. His closest colleague's murder. But for Sinclair... there would be a more intimate end-of-life experience.Concluida
