Silent Cry

Jisung stood at the edge, the city lights flickering below him, cold air biting at his skin. The night was dark, but the stars were so bright-so distant. He stared at the blade in his hand, the weight of everything pressing on him.

I'm done. It's over.

He let go of the blade, watching it fall. His eyes traced the scars on his arms, and he whispered to himself, "I'm gonna be one of them... just a shadow in the dark."

And then, just as he took a step forward, ready to end it all, a voice-familiar, urgent-shattered the silence.

"Jisung, don't..."

His heart froze. He knew that voice.

But nothing hurt more than the silence that followed it.
