The Candy Kingdom is on the brink of collapse. A mysterious virus is spreading through the citizens, turning them into mindless, sugar-starved monsters. With no cure in sight and time running out, Princess Bubblegum is forced to make a desperate decision-she needs help. But not just from anyone.

Marceline Abadeer has spent centuries avoiding the Candy Kingdom and its overly pink, overly stubborn ruler. But when PB comes knocking-tired, desperate, and completely out of options-Marceline finds herself dragged into a battle she never wanted to fight. She tells herself it's just business. That she's only helping because she can't get infected. That she doesn't care if Bubblegum lives or dies.
But when the princess falls victim to the virus, Marceline is faced with an impossible choice: watch her turn, or risk everything to save her.
With tensions high, old wounds exposed, and the lines between enemies and something more blurring, Marceline and Bubblegum will have to survive long enough to find a cure. But in the end, saving the kingdom might be easier than admitting what's been between them all along.
