Abbie's plans for his third and final year at High School were pretty simple. Get good grades (so that he doesn't become teacher food), get enough sleep so that he doesn't look like a zombie half the time (harder than it looks, by the way), hang out with his friend group (with is consisted of like, five people if you include himself), buy the games he wants (part-time jobs, here he comes!) and maybe, just maybe, finally ask out his crush. Unfortunately for him, all of these plans were derailed when a certain cosmic entity decided that the best way to deal with boredom was to give Abbie the Chaos Gacha - a system that embodies the infinite chaos of the endless and infinite multiverse condensed and refined into the form of a Gacha - and amp up the difficulty of our favorite Apple Boy's life to Nightmare mode. ...well, at least he gets cool powers, right? Oliver, a snarky troublemaker obsessed with ∆lice, hides a secret frustration: no matter how well he performs, his grades are mysteriously altered to failing marks. As tensions rise after the brutal deaths of Claire, Abbie, and Lana, whispers spread that Oliver is a dangerous influence. His friends Zip and Edward waver between loyalty and doubt. He struggles to uncover who's sabotaging him, balances his dangerous bond with ∆lice, and pushes against the rules of a school where survival comes before learning. And the line between cruelty and desperation blurs with each passing day.
