Stars Between Us

Twenty-year-old Kim has endured more than his share of heartbreak. With his mother as the last remaining member of his family, her tragic death leaves him utterly alone. After completing her final rites, Kim stumbles upon an abandoned baby-a one-year-old boy crying in a pile of trash. Moved by an unexplainable bond, Kim picks him up, and the boy's tears turn into a smile. Taking him to the police, Kim files a report, but days pass without any leads on the boy's parents. Slowly, Kim finds himself growing attached to this innocent child, whom he names Saengchan, meaning "moonlight," and begins to view him as the family he thought he'd lost forever.

With nothing of his own and no one to lean on, Kim is initially afraid of raising a child on his own. But when Saengchan matures, he begins to feel more than familial love for Kim. To him, Kim isn't just a caretaker but the person who brought light into his life. Kim, however, struggles with the idea-he raised Saengchan as his own and feels it's wrong to view him in any other way. Saengchan, undeterred, is determined to win over Kim's heart and show him that they are not bound by traditional family roles but by love that has grown over time.
