A man who was always seemingly in the grips of bad luck or someone god or higher being was pissed for some reason, Jack had gone though his whole life constantly looking over his shoulder, wondering what will ruin his day next, his life wasn't so good but wasn't so bad, he has had his up and downs, mostly downs, but he was able to push though them, he had friends and they saw him as a nice guy and seemed to care a lot about his friends, which he did, but he did hide a lot of his inner emotions a lot, so they didn't ever truly know him, he also had a "interesting" personality to boot, but all that will change one day, he was going to lay down after a hard day of work and when he slowly went to sleep, he woke up in a different place, and had no idea how he got there.

After I suddenly died I possessed the body of what I thought was an extra within a novel. From then on my life was mostly calm, though not fulfilling. Until one day I discovered I wasn't just a background figure; instead I was an insignificant character who'd end up being the villainous Grand Duke's secretary, only to die shortly after being near him! But I had no choice, it was too late to change my fate, so I decided to live as obediently as possible under the orders of the sadist villain. But I still had a plan. Even before the female lead makes her appearance, I will try in every way to make the villain a little more normal, or at least ensure that the two do not meet, so that no one will face a harsh death, including me! And then, after the villain doesn't become obsessed with the female lead and becomes more normal, I will be able to resign and live peacefully. So I just cleared all the suspicions he might have about me in order to not incur his wrath and die like in the novel. * * * "I'll give you a choice." The corner of his lips raised crookedly.
