Everyone dreams to be heard, right? We all want to be heard-our unsaid thoughts and feelings. Being scared to judge is crucial in this cruel world. Too scared to share and open up, it will end up using a pen and paper. Through writing, we can directly tell what we feel and what we want. Suicidal
This is the story of an abused teenage girl, Maddie. Her need to die has become overwhelming and she is trying to find a way to help herself before she does something she may regret. The story is told from her point of view as she recalls all that has happened to her. Maybe telling her story will help her, maybe not. This isn't just any other sob story. This is more realistic. You may even find yourself comparing your life to Maddie's while reading this story. Disclosure: I wrote this as a 13-year-old and the writing is definitely not up to my current standards, but I feel as though changing what I have already written would take away from the emotion I put into this story at 13 years old. Evolution
There are a lot of things you don't really think about until they happen to you. Take rape, for instance. I always thought, "That won't happen to me. I have a boyfriend. I trust him. He would never take advantage of me like that..." I couldn't have been more wrong. Love in this day and age is often confused for manipulation and abuse. The warning signs are here. The things we say will tell us everything that is wrong. You are worth more than what you think you are. It's not your fault. If they tell you otherwise, get out. Burn the bridge. Always remember someone is waiting for you to walk into their life. Someone needs you. Someone loves you. Getting away from all of the wrong people and finding the right ones could save you. I can promise you right now that it saved me. These are the journal entries and selected poems from my first experience of love that left a unpleasant taste in my mouth- quite literally. I am putting this out for the whole world to see because I hope everyone will learn from my experience. People can see. We have no excuses to continue living our lives in ignorance. ...WARNING... Sometimes love can hurt, both mentally and physically this is a story about a young women who has gone through a brutal abusive relationship to finally find her feet, her happiness and her true love, who happened to be someone she always knew. I knew who my mate was the day I turned 16. It was my brothers best friend. Can you believe it? And I only had a second of happiness in knowing before he outright rejected me. It was horrible. But being raped and locked up only to have it repeat the next day was unbearable. That was what I had to go through just a few years ago, and after a couple of weeks, I turned up pregnant. I was innocent before all of that. And I had thought that was the end of my life. My parents wanted to get rid of 'it' the 'abomination' but she was mine, in all the best and worst ways. I kept her, my parents learned to accept her while I was still pregnant, my mom even cried when we first heard her heart beat. When I turned 18, I thought my life was getting better, but I was wrong.
