She's gone. She's gone. How can she just be gone? She could be hurt or dead, who knows. Fox's vision blurred and her knees felt weak. Fear. Deep, uncontrollable fear, so raw it hurt, gripped her chest. She could feel her heart hammering and her throat was tightening. She tried to keep herself from hyperventilating, but couldn't seem to get enough oxygen into her lungs. Neck breaking out in a sweat, she shuddered uncontrollably. No, no, no, not now. Don't panic now. You haven't had an attack in years! Don't break that record now, not in front of all these people! But it was no use. Fox could feel the panic settling in, suffocating her. The faces of the dozens of people blurred together, drowning her. Why did there have to be so many of them? But it wasn't the horde that was terrifying her at the moment, though they certainly weren't helping any. The only face that filled her vision at the moment was Aviva's. Oh, gods. Not her.
