CHASING CIRCLES- drarry

"I'm having a baby." The words spill from his lips too fast, like ripping off a bandage, as if saying it quickly will soften the impact.

Lyra blinks. "What do you mean?" she whispers.

His throat bobs. "I'm having a child."

Silence.

"With someone else?"

The war was brutal-gruesome, exhausting, terrifying. But they survived. They both did. That should have been enough.

But it wasn't.

Blaise was dead. Her father was in prison. There was a target on her back, and her mother was... her mother was not doing well. It was too much. Lyra did the only thing she could think of-she told Harry she needed time. A break. Just long enough to breathe, to grieve, to put the shattered pieces of her life back together.

It really wasn't an invitation for Harry to become a teenage father.
