A TRIBUTE

Prologue:

They had been friends since childhood. She was sweet, but he was obstinate. She was kind, he was brutal. She was accustomed to being accommodating, and he had a knack of getting things done his way. He never cared for anything or anyone, but for her. She cared for everything and everyone, most of all, him.

He was driven by a purpose which cannot be told, she had a purpose that's unbeknownst to her. They were complete opposites that have come together, only because they care for each other.

He was resolved to keep her safe until the very end. All she wanted was for him to be happy, truly happy. He had vowed to never get married. However, when one incident altered her fate, he was the only one left to look out for her. Dangers were imminent and threats were looming over. His notoriety was enough to make him a menace, and she was the target of many due to her family's repute.

In the middle of chaos everywhere, what will he do when she starts developing feelings for him? Did he have any notion about her feelings? Will he break his resolve now and act contrary to his main objective?
