When a shy, fourteen-year-old girl meets the charming, carefree boy of her dreams at summer camp, she never expects the whirlwind of emotions and heartbreak that follows. From the moment he flirts with her, everything changes-though his attention is fleeting, her feelings grow deeper with every passing moment. What begins as innocent fun soon turns into a tangled mess of love, promises, and unanswered questions. As they grow older, their paths cross again, and she finds herself caught in a game she never agreed to play. He's always there, always pulling her back with his magnetic charm, yet never truly committing. Each time she thinks he's finally ready to be hers, she watches him slip away, dating other girls, leaving her heart in pieces. Struggling with the confusion of wanting him and knowing she deserves more, she fights to reconcile the boy she once adored with the person he's become. As she navigates high school, new friendships, and moments of self-discovery, she must ask herself-will she ever be able to let him go, or is she forever trapped in his orbit? A story of love, self-worth, and the agony of unreciprocated feelings, Tangled Hearts explores the complexities of growing up and learning that sometimes, the hardest person to forgive is yourself.

Bailey Ashford is a friendless 16-year-old who just graduated high school. Lonely and feeling cheated out of her teenage years, Bailey dreads her last carefree summer before starting college in the fall. After she has a chance encounter with Julian Weber, the most desired boy from her high school, she feels the need to make a bucket list of sorts, consisting of things most teenagers experience that she has yet to do. Gathering a little courage, Bailey asks Julian to help her with her bucket list, and to her shock, he agrees. Throwing caution to the wind, Bailey finally learns to let loose and have fun, that is, until her family life begins crumbling. Torn between being a careless teenager or returning to how she used to be, Julian teaches Bailey that not everything can be solved by an equation or a book but by feelings and emotions.
