Against The Tide

It's been seven years since Captain Selwyn has seen the light of day. Her ink-black hands lay limp on the muddy ground beside them as they stare blankly at the damp wall of the cell through their remaining eye.
They hear the ringing of keys and the stomp of boots in the hall outside their cell. Selwyn closes their eyes and prays silently to the gods that today is finally the day they can repay the blood they owe.

They pray it's time for their execution
