Cassandra wakes in a cold, dank parking garage, her mind swirling with confusion and fear. Clutching a grimy stuffed cat, she discovers a battered notebook warning her of the dangers lurking in the void. With every eerie page, she unravels the basic rules for survival. Part of the key to escaping this nightmarish place lies in the bizarre plush cat she now holds dear.

But her peace is short-lived. Though Cassandra finds her way out, she is thrust back into the void, seemingly at random. Half the time she falls asleep, the terrifying sensation of falling grips her, and she awakens in a new, terrifying corner of the void. The cycle of escape and entrapment continues, each new place with unseen creatures and toxic particles.

Hunted by the void's inhabitants and poisoned by its toxic particles, Cassandra must repeatedly navigate this perilous world, seeking sanctuary in the unlikeliest of places. Over time, she becomes resigned to her fate. Having been growing up in the foster system, with no place she can truly call home, the void becomes a twisted semblance of familiarity.

This is my own original story, i have written and rewritten many of these chapters and the majority of the creatures here were created by my own imagination. Please ask before you use my ideas for anything- even if its a drawing based on this book. Currently i only write on this account on wattpad, if you see this book anywhere else please contact me and report it.

This is the official rewrite for this story, i wont post very often as i am a student and have a life away from my devices- please don't comment asking about the next upload.

When you add a new country and a newly discovered secret identity in the mix, it's more than just a lot! When Sierra arrives in Luxembourg, she has no clue what to expect or how to deal with everything, but she does know that she wants answers. The problem is, sometimes the search for answers only leads to more questions. 'Challenged' is the second book in the Skinwalker Series and it is still being fine-tuned. I'd love to hear your views and opinions on my sequel. I'd also be pretty interested to hear some ideas I can maybe add to my rough plot as I go. It's going to be a bumpy ride, but there should be some fun, embarrassing and action-packed times along the way!

He suddenly calms down when the screams in the cell next to us switch to the sound of bones breaking. Now he sits with foam on his lips and his eyes wide, looking that way. After ten minutes, the sounds of the boys in our cell have died down, and we all look at the wall that separates us from the crackling of the breaking bones. And then suddenly all is quiet. After a few silent minutes, our cell door opens slowly. From the ball of light from the ceiling, the little girl in the doorway is illuminated. She is completely covered in blood and doesn't move. Then she opens her eyes and carefully walks towards us. And despite everything, my first impulse is to crawl backwards, away from the unnatural calm radiating from her. ------------- After reading yet another great older brothers/younger sister story, where the family gets reunited after years of separation, the sister keeps the secret that she was abused and assaulted all along, and the brothers conceal their work in the mafia, I decided to give it also a try. The output of my story was initially to turn this around with openness and unconditional support and the torture should happen right in front of their very eyes. Because no story is complete without the (un)necessary bloodshed, action, humour and, of course, a bad guy. And who knows, to throw everything completely upside down, the main character may not survive. I won't write warnings above each chapter, because most of them contain violence, blood, torture, etc. Constructive criticism is welcome. Ow, and English is not my first, second or third language. This is meant for imagination only as we don't have a fully done back story for Rivet's behavior, and I don't own Rivet as a character, or the world(s) she shares. Backround we know: unlike her dimensional counterpart: Ratchet, Rivet distrusts robots, and for that matter, most people due to the regime she lives in. That of Emperor Nefarious. Before Rift Apart, Rivet was already hailed a hero in her galaxy, despite never actually having won a fight against the Emperor. Her distrust is a huge and important part of her character we barely scratch in-game due to a good momentum of story with only sprinkles of who she is. Her canon outfit(non-armor) has a scarf to it, despite her living on acid swamp world like Sargasso. Some of this story is told from Rivet's POV, from the POV's of others, as well as just story narration. Things this story is meant to touch on: Rivet's early life before the Resistance. Rivet's reason for eventually joining the Resistance. Why Rivet wears a scarf (not really important, but details are nice..) Her distrust for robots. The loss of her arm. Why she simply refuses to give up. Meeting Pierre Keep in mind, minus her distrust of robots, and the loss of her arm, none of this is canon.
