IN WHICH Naia Hart, the sultry yet jaded lead vocalist of the overlooked girl group Glossie, crosses paths with Namjoon, the deeply introspective rap genius of BTS, at a label event in HYBE's LA office. From the moment they meet, Namjoon sees Naia as nothing more than another industry plant-another commercial pop star who knows how to play the game and manufacture her image. But Naia isn't impressed by him either. To her, he's just a man pretending to be an artist, hiding behind his so-called "depth" while everyone else falls for his act.
What begins as disdain quickly turns into a slow-burning rivalry. He's frustrated by her bravado, and she's tired of his air of superiority. But as their paths cross again and again, Namjoon begins to see the cracks in the glossy exterior Naia's crafted for herself. Beneath the sugar-sweet, princess persona lies a woman who's been in the game since she was a child-someone who's learned to protect herself in ways that no one, not even her closest friends, fully understand.
As the rivalry turns into something deeper, their romance becomes a whirlwind of passion, mutual respect, and vulnerability. The more Namjoon gets to know Naia, the more he realizes there's a lot more to her than anyone could ever see on screen. And for Naia, Namjoon just might be the only person who understands the burden of being an artist in an industry that values image over authenticity.

She hated riding the subway.
It was cramped, smelled, and the seats were extremely uncomfortable to sit on for hours on end.
Now add a group of crazy mask-wearing, weapon-wielding, maniacs to the ever growing list of reasons why Gemma hated riding the subway.
Gemma Conners is your average eighteen year old and for the past two years she's been riding the subway to and from school with no problem. She always expected the same ol' same ol'. Cramped spaces, hard seats, and perverts staring her up and down and "accidentally" bumping into her and blaming it on the train as it jostled people into one another.
Never did she expect a group of masked men to rush in and hold everyone onboard hostage, demanding that they all play along with their sick and twisted idea of a "game".
It was either that or die.
To add on to her ever growing list of problems, one of the passengers onboard just so happens to be Archer Daniels, your typical high school "heartthrob" and Gemma's classmate. Her day just kept getting better and better.
With Gemma's luck, she'd be lucky if she lasted five minutes.
Yep. She really hated the subway.
