It was only a split second.

His head tilted, ever so lightly and I could just about make out the small tattoo that was placed under his ear.

My body froze, the only thing of me that's still moving is the ponding heart that still lays inside of me. I graze my eyes over his face, the blood that covered half his cheekbone and the small cut that was carved into his eyebrow. How could I be so stupid?

He looked back, a small nod to indicate that the plan was working, I force myself to give a fake smile back, praying to what ever god there is that he doesn't notice.

This mother fucker set me up.

I grip my gun tighter.

With his back turned, I gently move my body towards his, walking closer and closer to him, it was only a matter of seconds till the tip of my gun was placed on the back of his head.
