In the midst of unwritten rules and unspoken emotions

How do you fight for a love that's forbidden?
Subin knows she shouldn't fall, but how do you unlove someone who keeps pulling you closer-only to push you away?

Bound by rules, secrets, and a tangled web of emotions, she finds herself caught between what's right and what feels real.
But when betrayal cuts deep and lines are crossed, can they still find a way back to each other-or are they destined to keep breaking each other apart?

_

"Class dismissed," she said curtly, already organizing her things.

I was just about to pack my stuff when I heard her voice again. "Chung Subin."

I froze mid-motion, my hand hovering over my bag. Why is she calling me now? The entire class went quiet, their eyes bouncing between me and Ms. Lee.

"Yes, ma'am?" I answered, standing up hesitantly.

"Follow me," she said, her tone leaving no room for argument. She didn't even look at me as she slung her bag over her shoulder. "And carry this," she added, motioning to a stack of papers and a book she had left on her desk.

I glanced at Woo-ri, who was giving me the most bewildered look. "Go," she mouthed silently, clearly curious but also worried.

I walked over to Ms. Lee's desk, quickly grabbing her things. Turning to Woo-ri, I gave her a small wave. "I'll catch up with you later, Woo-ri," I said softly. "Go ahead without me."

"You sure? Don't let her eat you alive!" she whispered dramatically, but I waved her off with a nervous smile.

_

A professor and her student, drawn to each other in ways neither of them can explain. The boundaries are clear, but their emotions refuse to be ignored.

"Why are you doing this me?" The grey orbs look up lazily from the stupid book he's reading. They glower in the dim lights. "And what am I doing to you, Amaya?" Hayes asks calmly and I ball my hands into fists, seething at his ignorance. "Well?" "You're hurting me." "I'm protecting you." He says, glancing back at the book. "By pushing people away from me? By stopping me from doing what I want? When did that become your choice?" "From the moment I stuck that ring on your finger and promised myself that I'll never let you be in that same position as you were last year." He snaps his book shut, and glares down at the Rolex enclosed on his wrist. "So that's it? You'll just keep me under your control?" "Darling, I'm just trying to protect you. Why can't you see that?" My Professor rises from his seat and runs his hands down his suit. "When we get married-" "If we get married." The grey swirls snap to me like lightening and his jaw flexes. My heartbeat quickens and I make a turn towards the door, now desperately wanting to leave his office. "If we get married?" He repeats, walking dangerously quick towards me as I try for the door. "If we get married?" Slam! His sudden closeness to me, the way I can feel his hot breath by my neck is enough to send me spiralling in both fear and excitement. Hayes spins me around and pushes me back against the door. He grabs my chin and forces me to look up at him, his gaze sending jolts to my lower stomach. "When we get married." He utters, trailing his thumb along my bottom lip. "When we get married, my love. Say it to me." "When we get married." I whisper weakly, my eyes glued to his face. "Good." His lips curl upwards and my cheeks flush against my will. I wait for him to kiss me, I wait for him to tell me that he loves me. But instead he takes a step back, glancing down at his watch. "Your class is about to start, Miss. Falke. I suggest you run." #3 high - 06/11/2025 #3 engaged - 12/11/2025 #1 high - 16/01/2026

Seulgi stood at the entrance of Chaewa Girl High School, her heart pounding with excitement. A new school, a fresh start, and endless possibilities awaited her. She took a deep breath, inhaling the crisp morning air, and stepped through the towering gates, ready to embrace whatever came her way. The school grounds buzzed with life-students chatting in groups, laughter echoing through the corridors, and the faint scent of freshly bloomed cherry blossoms drifting in the wind. Everything seemed perfect, a dream she had envisioned countless times. But dreams, as she would soon realize, had a way of twisting into something unexpected. It started with Jaeyi. The moment Seulgi locked eyes with her, the air around them shifted. Jaeyi, the golden girl of Chaewa Girl High School, exuded an effortless charm that made heads turn. She was admired, envied, and untouchable-a figure that lived in whispers and stolen glances. And yet, in the sea of people, she noticed Seulgi. A single encounter was enough to spark interest, but fate had a cruel sense of humor. Their paths intertwined again and again, no matter how much Seulgi tried to avoid her. With every meeting, Jaeyi's enigmatic presence unraveled something darker beneath the surface of Chaewa Girl High School. The school wasn't as pristine as it appeared. There were secrets buried deep within its walls, and Jaeyi seemed to be at the center of them all. Whispers followed Seulgi now-curious, wary, and some laced with silent warnings. She could feel the weight of unseen eyes watching, studying, waiting. The school's system was flawed, corrupted in ways she couldn't yet comprehend. And Jaeyi... she wasn't just another student. There was something about her, something veiled in mystery, pulling Seulgi in despite the dangers that lurked in the shadows.

Seulgi was breathless, her chest rising and falling in rapid bursts. Her thoughts were messy, confused, and desperate to make sense of something that couldn't be. But her body didn't care about sense. "I hate you," she whispered. It was the only thing that made it to her lips, the only defense she had left. But even that felt empty, dissolving the second Jaeyi kissed her again rougher, needier, like she already knew she'd won. "Unnie... Yeri and Kyung are right there," Seulgi panted, voice trembling. "Then be quiet," Jaeyi murmured against her ear. "Or maybe don't." Seulgi whimpered, her fingers curling into Jaeyi's coat, dragging her closer when she should've pushed away. Her mind screamed wrong, but her body had already betrayed her, melting into Jaeyi's touch, her warmth, her scent. Jaeyi's hands slid down her back, pulling her into the heat of her body, and Seulgi shivered at the intensity of it-of her, of them. The want that unfolded through her was terrifying, it was consuming. She stopped fighting. She didn't want to fight anymore. That moment marked the beginning of something neither of them could take back. A forbidden thing, whispered between locked doors and lingering stares, a secret cousins don't share. But they did. And now, every glance burned, every brush of fingers carried weight. Guilt tangled with longing. Shame with desire. They told themselves they could stop. That they would stop. But love like this doesn't stop quietly. And sooner or later, someone's going to find out. Will they choose each other in the end? Or will everything come crashing down? ______ Warning: This story is a work of fiction. It contains themes of forbidden romance and sexual content, which may be sensitive for some readers.
