"Why are you writing so much?" I, Akaashi Keiji asked as I looked over at Fujioka Miri, Bokuto-san's childhood friend who recently joined the volleyball team as a manager.

She hesitated, gripping her pen. "I just... I don't know! I feel like I'm running out of things to say!"

I raised an eyebrow. "What?"

"You heard me!" She threw her hands up. "Bokuto gets so happy when people compliment his plays, right? But I can't just say 'You're so cool, Bokuto!' over and over again! That's lame!"

"...You do say that a lot."

Miri groaned, burying her face in her notebook. "I know."

I sighed. "And why exactly are you stressing over this?"

She didn't answer. That was all the answer I needed.

The team had finished practice, and everyone else had already left, so I took the chance while we were alone.

"Miri."

"What?" she mumbled.

"You're in love with Bokuto."

She violently choked on nothing.

I watched as she scrambled, slamming her notebook shut and gripping it like I had just read her deepest, darkest secrets.

"What-what are you talking about?!"

I looked at her. "You're in love with Bokuto."
