Salem has never been special. No crazy powers, no divine gifts-just a scrawny fourteen-year-old stuck in the shadow of gods who don't even claim him. At Camp Half-Blood, every demigod is supposed to belong somewhere. But Salem? He's just another unclaimed kid taking up space at the overcrowded camp, waiting for a sign that he matters.

With summer comes an influx of new campers, battle training, and more reminders that he's nothing like the heroes in the stories. But when things begin happening, when people he love get put in danger- he has to give up his grudges and shatter his pride to fight for all he has left.
