Keres' goals in life were simple: dedicate herself to protecting and serving her people as a knight. Only it turned out fighting to the death over the realm crystal was part of the package.

What was meant to be a momentous day in her life takes a sharp turn when a Kingdom's relic falls into the hands of an unnamed sorcerer. In an effort to protect the crystal, Keres is thrust into an unknown world, where dragons scour the skies and strange, roaring contraptions roam the lands.

Worst of all are the six masked figures and their mentors she finds herself stuck with. There's no trust to be shared, nor friendship to be found - but with a threat bigger than herself that puts the two realms at risk, both sides must reach for the impossible and decide whether to be friends or foe.

And maybe, with the boy with dark eyes always on her, and heart so impossibly large, there could be something more. Something that'll teach them that when in war, love is the most terrifying thing of them all.
