A Game of Cats and Mice

In the divided town of Blackridge, wealth and power reign supreme at the top of the hill, while struggle and hardship fester at the bottom. The ruthless Thornfeld family, a dynasty of cold-hearted elites, controls everything-the land, the law, and the fates of those who dare to live beneath them. Her mother, Sylvette Holiday, once attempted to reason with the Thornfelds, but learned long ago that diplomacy meant nothing to people who thrived on control. As Sylvette watches history repeat itself, she warns Heather that brute strength won't be enough-strategy, intelligence, and cunning will be their greatest weapons if they are to survive.
