This is a fan of of Link, the Hero of Time, and Malon. It is written in Malon's pov almost exclusively. It centers around friendship, trauma, maturity and eventually true and lasting connection.
Link struggles with having such an older soul in a child's body, keeping the adult experiences in OoT mostly to himself and how his trip to Termina broke his mind a little (didn't we all break from MM a little?)
I love the idea of a relatively normal and incandescently happy life for Link and Malon.
I obviously don't own any of these characters, etc. credit to Nintendo.

The Legend of Zelda: The Dark Agenda
Far in the future, Link and Ganondorf battle in broken world, a fusion of the 'child' and 'adult' timelines. Hyrule is ravaged and all inhabitants, even Ganon's minions, have abandoned their homes due to fear of Link and Ganon's conflict. A Demigod takes advantage of their weakened states and places power inhibitors on their necks, forcing Link and Ganon to work together. This is an old fanfic from 2014. Keep in mind that this is not written as a thoroughly as novel, so this story does not have detailed descriptions of environments or senses. This is written as a plot synopsis/script for a video game premise. I have written this plot in such a way that it can easily fit into the far future of any Zelda timeline. However, the Demigod (his personality and goals) is my creation as well (ergo, also under the copyright) since he is a character that is from one of my novels. I know that my plot would essentially be a Zelda rip-off as it is, so I would not sell it on that basis. I have a copyright on the plot just in case, so no one can just randomly try to steal it without giving me proper compensation.)Complete

Bri was a normal girl in a normal world. But one day she is teleported into a game by a never-meant-to-be released Legend of Zelda game and meets Link himself. Together, they both find their strengths, weaknesses, and fears on a journey to save Hyrule from the evil reign of Ganondorf. And then, maybe, just maybe, Bri will be able to return to her world and see her annoying sisters, Father, Mother and closest friends once again. • • • I was a young child (12-13 but I call all young teens children) when I wrote this story. It's not the best and it was highly inspired from Neriburns fan fiction. I really suggest you read their story if you haven't already-it's a heck of a lot better than what my younger self could've ever done.Complete

In modern day Hyrule, Link is an orphan who lives in an orphanage. Because he is meant to be the Hero of Hyrule, his bunkmates get jealous and bully him for it. When Link enters first grade, he befriends Zelda, the most beautiful girl in Hyrule, and eventually falls in love with her. The two become inseparable, but everything changes when Zelda hits puberty; she vanishes and doesn't show up at school. Link tries to contact and find her, but no luck. Five years later, Link is a 16-year-old man with severe depression and a Hero chosen by the Master Rifle. He is still in love with Zelda and thinks about her every second of his life. One day, Link saves a woman from the Yiga clan members, and that woman turns out to be Zelda. She tells him about where she has been for the past five years, and once Link finds out the truth, he dedicates his days to helping Zelda feel safe and happy again away from her selfish, rich father Rhoam and her forced fiance, Ganondorf. While Link and Zelda try to save themselves from the abuse, an evil prince from another country declares war on Hyrule in hopes of annexing the kingdom, and Link must go to war, leaving Zelda. Just A Little Loko
I worked for longer than anyone could imagine... Just for it to come to this... No matter what I do... Nothing is ever good enough. Maybe this is my place in life. Maybe this is just my destiny: Failure. - Gazing into the mind of an antagonist who's drive for success led him down the wrong rabbit hole. A man living in the shadows of a broken world. Though maybe the world wasn't broken. Maybe it was just him all along. Maybe the broken world broke him too, and if everything's broken, it's perfectly fine, right? Mostly following the plot of Spirit Tracks, through Byrne's eyes, and his desperate attempt to gain power for a reason misinterpreted, though probably understandable. I've put my own original turns on this every now and then, as one would probably expect, but it's not romance, none of that hopeless crap. But rather, a thin line of grief and denial. Exchanging one life for another. Of course however, in the end... Is it really Byrne's mind? Or another? It's debatable, depending on how technical you'd want to get... It follows memories, feelings-even conflicting ones. I don't write to impress people, so don't get your hopes up. I didn't start proof reading until after Chapter Four, so prepare yourself. The story, being carried in first person, I tried to put emphasis on one's head. I don't think there's too much drama, I wanted things to at least make some kind of sense... But, alas, everything is just a perspective, for each of us. I don't think I'm right, but I don't think I'm wrong. We don't really know what happened, so I suppose that's the beauty of freedom. We can theorize whatever we want. - If you enjoy my story, don't be afraid to drop a vote. Touch that star, it's free and doesn't cost you anything.
