In a small town of Hardesville, Best friends Ella and Reese are two teenagers going through typical teenage trouble; Fights with friends, romances and unrequited love. The only difference with Ella and Reece though, is that they are both Junior Detectives in training to become Detectives when they finish school. They get the generic simple cases that are supposed to "train their brains". Until one day, when a friend has been killed, and a possible murderer is among them, Ella and Reece are forced to enter a very adult situation, facing the fact that one of the people they care about the most, is a killer.
