For Annabel, he was just another jock who thinks so highly of himself and unfortunately her rival.
To him, she was just another nerd who will fall for his charms but unfortunately she is not everyone's normal nerd.

She's captain of the girls basketball team, volleyball team, and is a track star. She has the typical jock boyfriend. Low grades. Aloof attitude. She is always in detention, always playing pranks, and always pulling the strings at Jackson High School.
