I will be the first to say that I'm not sure why I happened to seemingly be reincarnated into one Caroline Forbes? I don't do cheerleading, sure I'm perky with close friends, I'm sometimes overly blunt, I say random things and I don't do well with being bossed around without retaliating. Waking up by a vamp who would like to play with me and then drain me is not exactly my idea of a good time. Letters to God (Compact Version)
I feel I should offer a disclaimer; this will not be a book of pretty words and flowing writing. It might even have an odd format with short stories, prayers, poems, journal entries, and autobiographical tendencies. There will be raw, unfiltered emotion because I have always been a very emotionally driven person, prone to oversharing. This isn't a tutorial or a teaching manual, or a guide to Christianity. It is my personal journey in discovering The Way. My ongoing path from religion to having a personal relationship with the Living God. The idea for Letters to God has been with me for years. At first, as a blog post, but that didn't appeal to me as much, for my heart has always leaned toward writing books. Then I tried sharing parts of it as short stories, but that didn't sit well with me either. Subconsciously, I've been working on this for years. Until The Whole World Hears?
It's not safe out there it'll never be. Every day is a fight to do the right thing. God has given us his laws, history, answers, and the truth. You know what I'm talking about. We call it the bible. I don't know what you believe in, and I'm not going to try to convince you... But who am I kidding. Most of you will either stop reading this book and never look at it again, and very few of you will continue. Some of you will read this to get answers, and some of you will take this information and twist my words against me, for those people... I will make myself VERY clear. I believe that God is real, I believe in his word, and that is why I am a Christian. (There is nothing to get that confused with.) To clear things up even more, I have a relationship with a real God, not some mythical creature made up in my head. Just because I am a Christian doesn't mean I am perfect, I make mistakes and I ask God for forgiveness and just because I am a Christian doesn't mean you should treat me any less. Intimate Jesus
Everybody wants to share intimate thoughts with someone and a lot of times it is not so easy to find someone we can truly be intimate with. It's also amazing to discover that Jesus wants to be more intimate with us than we realize. He wants to have people who know Who He is and know what He came to accomplish here on Earth. I did a study on the book of John in the month of September, and I want to share that with every reader. It's my personal quiet time with the Lord.
