In ancient times, the Lunar and Solar Sovereigns created the Eclipse Order, entrusting certain individuals with the Mark of the Moon to prevent the Devourer, a cosmic entity of destruction, from consuming the universe. Yeji and Ryujin, two of the most powerful Guardians, were chosen to protect the balance. They were the embodiment of light and dark, meant to keep the Devourer sealed.

However, a curse was placed upon them: if they fell in love, the seal would break, and the Devourer would awaken, destroying everything. Reborn in each life with no memory of their past, they are always drawn together, repeating the cycle of love and destruction. Each time they fall in love, the world collapses.
